On February 7th, the Semiahmoo Junior Robotics team attended the VEX IQ Robotics competition on West Vancouver Secondary School.

Team 6458B: Jacob L & Jenneva L

The objective of this season’s game to gain as much points as possible in a one minute time limit. The alliance can get points by achieving several objectives with the robot such as knocking off yellow “HUBS” from a high structure, moving “HUBS” to the scoring zone, stacking “HUBS” to gain bonus points, and to climb the hanging structure so that the robot is not in contact with the ground.

Team 6458A: Ali R, Ethan W, Adrian G

The juniors worked hard on their robots, and they have succeeded to gain a maximum of 21 points in the teamwork challenge, and rank 3rd place in the robot skills challenge. Our Juniors proudly represented our club, and they won the [Design Award] and [Teamwork Challenge 2nd Place Award]. They have also qualified for the B.C. provincials tournament. Let's go Juniors!

Ten Ton Robotics Program Tour

After the end of the competition, we also had a chance to take a tour of Ten Ton robotics program as well. It was a exciting as well as an educational experience for both our Junior members and us as well. We once again thank Ten Ton Robotics for welcoming us.
