The Semiahmoo Junior Robotics team recently competed at a Vex IQ robotics tournament on the weekend of December 9th at Dunbar community center. Both 6458A Plastic Dinosaurs and 6458B Need4Speed were up against some serious challenges and battled hard throughout the event. Although the two teams did not get the desired results in the driver skills and autonomous challenge due to technical difficulties, they quickly improvise their robot on the run, and were able to restore the robot back to its functionality winning the teams the prestigious “Design Award”. The team believes it was a great learning experience and are looking forward to their next competition on January 25th, and are looking forward to a year filled with success.

Both teams showed creativity and determination while dealing with the technical issues
